Meet Max
I'm a senior at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, specializing in broadcasting and digital journalism. As a dedicated student journalist, I inject passion, personality, and accuracy into every story.
As a Multimedia Journalist for CitrusTV News, a student-run television station at Syracuse University, I'm committed to delivering impactful news stories to our audience. Since joining in 2021, I've actively reported on significant news within the university and the upstate New York community, garnering multiple national and regional journalism awards.
In addition to reporting, I anchor the station's weekly evening show, manage a team of assignment editors, and oversee the onboarding, recruitment, and training of new members.
Professional Experience
I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to intern at local stations in my hometown of Rhode Island, WJAR NBC 10 and WPRI 12. Throughout my time there, I actively sought to learn from reporters, anchors, producers, assignment editors, and news management, absorbing any and all journalism knowledge I could while also expanding my skillset.
Recently, I had the valuable experience of shadowing a news anchor at NBC Boston, where I gained insight into the news industry in a larger and more fast-paced market.
What I Bring
In your newsroom, I will be a journalist skilled at teamwork, asking tough questions, holding officials accountable, and engaging my audience.
I am dedicated to chasing stories and uncovering the truth of what matters in my community.
Outside of Reporting
When I'm not chasing a story, you’ll find me relaxing at the beach or enjoying time with family and friends.
A Rhode Island native, I'm a die-hard Boston sports fan—especially when it comes to the Celtics and Patriots.
I like to describe myself as a passionate, hardworking, and outgoing individual who strives to create a positive environment around me.
